15 - FEMALE - AUGUST 30, 2006 - UNKNOWN
Appearance:
Noxie is quite, well, to be honest, she's not exactly insanely gorgeous, but she isn't that bad looking either. Her chocolate brown hair falls midway past her shoulders, ending in curls that usually end of looking pretty frizzy by the end of the day as she can't seem to stop tugging at them and watching them bounce. It's also usually got bits of grass or leaves or twigs in it. Her eyes are a mixture of blue and grey, at least, they probably are, it's kind of hard to tell. She's always got her hair hanging down in her rounded face, blocking it the best she can from the world around her.
Standing at approximately 5 feet tall, Noxienia is a bit on the short side for her age and probably isn't going to get any bigger. Not that she minds at all really, it keeps her from being too noticeable. Sometimes she'll even hunch herself down and try to become even less visible. Her waist is neither thin nor thick and she is about averagely sized in all female accouterments.
Personality:
The absolute best word to describe Noxie is shy. She is quite possibly one of the most timid people ever born and she knows it. It's not that she doesn't want to interact and have fun, she simply has this irrational fear of people. She gets very nervous when talking to others and tends to pull at her curls as a sort of calming reflex. It's easier to look at her curls bounce than at whomever is speaking to her. Noxie is also very kind, but also not as smart as she could be. She struggles when it comes to the more complex subjects, like Transfiguration and Arithmacy (why, oh why did she even sign up for Arithmancy?) but she is quite good at other things. She excels at Charms and Astronomy. One thing most wouldn't expect from Noxie is a seriously rageful anger, but it's there. She's pretty patient and calm for the most part... until you really rile her up. It takes a lot to get to her, but when something does, she will light your butt on fire. Literally, if she has a clear shot.
When she's not busy doing her schoolwork (or trying to do it), Noxie enjoys reading Muggle fiction, playing Gobstones (against herself), and being outside. She really likes rolling in the grass and jumping in piles of leaves and snow. She may not be the best at Herbology, but she still really enjoys nature. A nice day outside makes her almost giddy and act about half her age. She will stay out until it gets dark and then quickly retreat inside where there is more light.
Strengths:
Noxie is very good at Charms and Astronomy. She's also pretty adept at blending into her surroundings.
Weaknesses:
Noxie is very bad at Transfiguration and even worse at Arithmancy. She's tried to wrap her head around both subjects, but can never seem to quite get there. The dark. Stick her in a place with no light and she'll turn into a blubbering baby within seconds. Looking people in the eyes when being spoken to. She can’t do it. She just can’t.
Pet Peeves:
Noxie really dislikes people who are mean to others for no decent reason, like if their shoes are green. She also gets pretty annoyed when she's stuck indoors for long periods of time. Her own shyness also gets to her a bit.
Family History:
Noxienia spent the first several years of her life being called nothing but ‘the baby’. Born to a single Muggle mother who would much rather be out partying than taking care of her six children, Noxie was raised mostly by her older siblings who ranged in age from sixteen to seven at the time of her birth. Due to her mother’s lifestyle, it is unknown as to whether Noxie’s father was a wizard or a Muggle, however, it could go either way. Despite their mother’s antics though, Noxie and her siblings grew up in a home fueled mostly on love for one another. There were times when there wasn’t any money to pay for gas or electric or food, but somehow they managed. They kept themselves occupied with games of imagination and books from the local library and watching the stars from the roof of their apartment building. Despite all of the love she was raised with though, Noxienia turned out quite a lot shyer than any of her siblings. This is partially due to having to walk like they were trodding on eggshells whenever their mother was home or risk being yelled at. It also didn’t help that their mother was always bringing strange men home who were either extremely rude and unfriendly or way too friendly. Thus was born an insecurity of dealing with unfamiliar people.
Most of Noxie’s older siblings had already left home by the time her Hogwarts letter came, though they still kept close. At first she thought it must be some kind of joke and was very surprised when she found out it wasn’t. With a little help from the school financially and a teacher to guide her, Noxie was able to get all of her school things. Her siblings were a little wary of sending her away, but also knew what a great opportunity this could be. To get at least one of them a better education, even if it was in magic. It didn’t take long for the idea of magic really existing to get through any of the family’s heads. Odd things had always happened around Noxie, but now there was an explanation as to why.
Five years later, Noxie is always very happy when September comes around so she can return to Hogwarts. She doesn’t have many friends, mostly acquaintances but it’s better than being at home and dealing with her mother who doesn‘t even really notice Noxie being gone.

Role Play Sample:
Noxienia bit her lower lip, head down, eyes looking up through her hair as she strode down the corridor. She carried her school bag upon one shoulder, the weight of it making her tilt slightly to the right as she tried to avoid running into anyone. Running into people made them stop and say things most of the time. Eye contact was usually expected to occur at some point within that interaction or she’d be seen as being rude, even if she wasn’t exactly trying to be. She just couldn’t help it. Feelings were so well purveyed in a person’s eyes that she automatically shied away from looking. What if the eyes held anger or disgust? No, best to keep her eyes on her feet and glance up occasionally to make sure she wasn’t going the wrong direction. Most people just went around her anyway.
Getting to her classroom, Noxie quickly made her way to the very back of the room where she was less likely to be called on. She liked it back here, where it was quiet and safe. Setting her bag down, Noxie pulled out her book and some parchment for taking notes before settling in to stare out the window until the last bell rang. She sighed, watching the way the sun glinted off the lake and the snowy tops of the autumn colored mountains in the distance. It was such a beautiful day… She leaned over and undid the latch on the window, pushing it open a bit to let in the early fall breeze. It swept in, washing her over in the scents of grass, leaves, and sunshine. Perhaps there’d be enough time after classes ended for her to get out there before it got too dark. That would be nice.
