Wand Wood Description: "Hazel is a sensitive wand, often reflecting its owner’s emotional state, and works best for a master who understands and can control their own emotions well. Appearance:Light eyed, dark haired, and fair skinned. Individually, Max has all the characteristics of a handsome english teenager, but together on him, they are a gangly mess. Maximus is tall and broad shouldered and if he stood at his full height, he would be quite imposing, but since he doesn't and instead stands slightly hunched and arms crossed like he's closing in on himself, he is not at all intimidating. Maximus is just like every other geeky, awkward teenage boy: Pale, freckled, and scared, all topped off with a pair of glasses. On his leg, there is a scar from a bite he received long ago and until age eleven thought was a birthmark. He is self conscious about so don't ask him to many questions.
Personality: Maximus is a simple guy; he likes computer games, books, food and is bad at talking to people. He's not scared of people, he loves people, but it seems whenever he opens his mouth, something stupid or weird comes out. Maximus though shy around women mostly, and in possession of a near magic ability to make almost any situation awkward, is usually calm and reserved. Having grown up surrounded by hippies, he gravitates towards those that are happy and light hearted, but he himself is far more cynical. Maximus does believe it is important to be respectful to his teachers and elders, and kind to all, so while a bit odd, he tries to be nice. Despite this, Maximus, when pushed enough, will become extremely aggressive, and instagative making the situation ten times worse than it needs to be. This hints it underlying impulsive tendencies.

History: Maximus himself does not know much about his family. To him, his mother is just some runaway hippy and his step-dad a bum who can't let go of his teenage years. In actuality though his mother is more of a refugee. 'Honeysuckle', as she calls herself was born Avathene and belonged to a highstanding wizarding family that was pro voldemort. She didn't care much about the war, or politics, she was rich after all, her husband had been picked out, she was set. But then she met Adam Mendes, the son of a witch and a Muggle, at Hogwarts. He was a bit crazy. He was a big supporter of Harry Potter. He hated the ministry and Voldemort with the same passion a teenage boy puts into anything that fucks them. Avathene was in love. Against her famalie's wishes, they ran away together after Hogwarts. He became a journalist and published his near mad Death Eater ramblings which nearly got him killed. In the end he had only been turned into a werewolf, which while inconvenient, could be handled. In the mean time, Avathene had become pregnant with Maximus. When her son was born, Avathene wrote the family she had abandoned, telling her sisters of their nephew. This only got her family angry and they scorched her name from their records, cutting off all contact with her. To make matters worse, Adam was getting careless. He felt he was getting used to this new 'ability' as he called it and was separating himself from his family later and later, putting them in danger of him shifting near them. Eventually he did. In the very beginning of the shift, he bit his one year old son's leg. Fortunately Avathene was there and blasted her lover in the face, sending him off their son, but also causing permanent damage. She left the house that night swearing off magic, as well as violence, feeling the war was what destroyed her tiny family. Avathene never saw Adam again and refused to tell Maximus about him tell her son was eleven and going to Hogwarts, at which point she broke the ice about magic as well. After she left that night, Avathene joined a hippy colony essentially where she met a man named Clover Williams, whom she married, changed her name to 'Honeysuckle' for and a had a daughter with.
