Caroline Alexandra Nash
"Reading gives us some place to go when we have to stay where we are - Mason Cooley"
- 16 - July 1, 2005 - Straight - Single - Halfblood
Wand: Acacia and Unicorn Hair, 10 inches
Wand Wood Description: Difficult to match with a wizard and generally refused to produce magic for anyone but their owners but seemed to withhold their full power from all but the most gifted wizards. Ollivander only kept a small supply of Acacia wands in his shop. Owners of Acacia wands were generally subtle wizards, as wands made from this wood were generally unsuitable for flamboyant magic.
Appearance: Long light brownish-blondish hair with light brown eyes and pale skin. Slender in body type and almost looks kind of fragile because of her small shape.
Personality: Her parents raised her to be polite and proper and for the most part, she is. Caroline is very ambitious and extremely smart due to her years of reading book after book in her family library. She loves learning and going to her classes. She seemed to inherit her grandmother’s magical talents, putting her near the top of her class in Hogwarts. Her wisdom exceeds her brothers though she desperately tries to hold back around him because she doesn’t want to seem better than him and give their parents more reasons to resent him. She is compassionate about the things she loves and always works harder to better herself in some way. She is very friendly and honest and will almost always tell anybody the truth if she thinks that they need to hear it. She doesn’t like people who think they are better than everyone and who flaunt their arrogance like it’s an attractive trait.

What He/She Loves: Reading any and all kinds of books, her classes at Hogwarts, her brother.
What He/She Hates: Large crowds, surprises, people who think they’re smarter than everyone else – in other words, over-confident people who flaunt it unnecessarily.
History: William Nash was born a squib to his parents, Johanna and Alistair Nash, who both graduated from Hogwarts a few years before James Potter and Lily Evans, top of their class. They were both extremely talented wizards and supporters of the Order. William didn’t attend the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, instead worked hard in the muggle society, eventually becoming a highly ranked political figure, leaving him well-known and extremely wealthy. He met and married Louisa Hamden, a muggle, and together they had two children who inherited the magical abilities of their grandparents. Caroline and her brother, Elliot were incredibly close growing up, really only having each other for friends until they got to Hogwarts, where they were finally able to meet other kids their age. The Nash children were very sheltered during their childhood because of their father’s political status. His name and beliefs made him a target by others who didn’t agree with him, ultimately putting his family in danger. Caroline and Elliot were homeschooled until they went to Hogwarts. As a result of being cooped up all the time in their very large and expensive townhouse, Caroline would retreat to the library. By the age of nine, she’d managed to read every book that occupied the shelves. At the same time, Elliot became angry at their parents for keeping them locked up behind the walls of their house and started to become defiant and rebellious. If he hadn’t gotten his letter to Hogwarts, his parents were going to send him to a military reform school.
When she was 7 and her brother was 9, they were attending a political function that their father was appearing at. At that point, their father had become a large target for non-supporters of the government officials and as they were walking on their way to join William up on the stage, Caroline was abducted. She was held at ransom for 2 days, blindfolded and wrists tied behind her back. She was kept somewhere cold and smelly and was only fed cheese and milk, which she no longer eats. She never saw who the men were that kidnapped her and nobody ever figured it out. Luckily, her parents were wealthy and could afford to pay the ransom and she was returned safely and without harm, although the experience left her scarred for life. As a result, she doesn’t enjoy being touched or surprises. She continues to have nightmares about her abduction.
