Hawthorn wands may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses and seems most at home with a witch or wizard passing through a period of inner-turmoil. Hawthorn is difficult to master and one should only ever consider placing a hawthorn wand in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent, or the consequences might be dangerous. “Hawthorn wands have a notable peculiarity: their spells can, when badly handled, backfire."


Appearance: Mila has pale blonde hair that loops in perfect curls. Her eyes are a cold gray, though they grow warmer when looking at those she loves. Her charming looks has often help her coax information out of just about anybody she comes across, getting them to give something away without even realizing it. In more recent years, she's taken on a more tired appearance. Between late shifts at the bar and caring for her daughter during the day, sleep has become a less frequent thing. 

Personality: Mila has all the traits of a Slytherin. She's incredibly deceptive and often uses her career as a bartender in a shadier part of town to learn about what's happening in the darker community. To the world she comes off as a slutty girl who works only for herself. She's cold and dark when she isn't busy being charming. When it comes to her family she softens. With her daughter, Estella, Mila becomes nothing like what she appears. She becomes a playful, silly, and affectionate person. She'll read her daughter cheesy bedtime stories and join her in play-pretend. Estella makes Mila a better person and is the one thing she couldn't live without.

Favorite Subjects: Potions, Transfiguration, DADA (though she was mostly interested in it because it's the closest Hogwarts has to Dark Magic)

History: A year after the war ended, an eighteen year old Pansy Parkinson was sleeping with a twenty-four year old, engaged Marcus Flint. Flint had agreed to marry a foreign pureblood in order to maintain his families status and wealth. When he learned that Pansy was expecting a baby, he quickly moved up his wedding and escaped London.

Mila Callidora was born on a cold, rainy night as the clock struck twelve. Pansy would have gladly given up her baby had there been anybody else to carry on her family name, but the infant was all she had.

Pansy raised her daughter the way she had been, telling her constantly that purebloods like themselves were superior. When Mila left for Hogwarts she had all the makings of a Slytherin, so that's where she went. While at Hogwarts her interest in dark magic only increased, her favorite subjects being DADA and potions. She challenged herself with all kinds of advanced magic. Then when she was fifteen her life was thrown off course.

In June of her fourth year, Mila consented to sleeping with her then boyfriend, a sixth year named Adrian Dragomir. Adrian was a charming student from Ukraine, a pureblood like herself. He had chosen to attend Hogwarts rather than the closer Durmstrang because he hadn't liked the martial similarities the school had. He'd swept nearly every girl in Hogwarts off her feet, yet he'd chosen Mila as his girlfriend. Between her fourth and fifth year Mila learned she was expecting a baby. At only fifteen she had no idea what to do. When Adrian learned that he was the father he dumped her, not wanting the commitment a family would take. Mila was left heartbroken.

Pansy supported her daughter throughout the pregnancy, knowing how hard her own had been. In February a baby girl was born a couple weeks prematurely. Mila had only turned sixteen a month prior. With her OWLs approaching and a determination to finish out her schooling, Mila turned the baby over to Pansy to care for. She got permission from Headmistress McGonagall to returned home on weekends to help care for her daughter, whom she had named Estella Adrianna-Pansy Parkinson.

True to her word, Mila graduated Hogwarts towards the top of her class. Once free of the confines of Hogwarts, she turned her attention towards her daughter and Dark Magic. She got a job at The Drink as a bartender several nights a week. The tips manage to sustain a decent income for her to fund her daughter, especially with Pansy's help.
