Wands hewn from these most long-lived trees have been found in the possession of heroes quite as often as of villains.” When a wizard is buried with their yew wand, the wand sprouts into a tree guarding the dead owner’s grave. A yew wand does not choose a mediocre or a timid owner.



Appearance: Archer has dark hair. He often teases and styles it to ensure it gets the effect he wants. His eyes are a startling blue-gray color. In certain lights, they can even appear to be a shade of green. Archer looks nearly exactly like his father. They have the same dark hair and structure. He stands at 5'8 1/2 with the same fit yet lean build. Archer was raised to dress professionally. He isn't often seen wearing casual clothes, instead wearing an assortment of clothes his mother buys to ensure he gives off the correct image. Sometimes, thought, he gets away with wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

Personality: Archer is an intelligent young man. He's aware of what he needs to do in order to go far in the world, and is generally good at finding a way to do it. He's very charming when he wants to be, easily getting people to wrap around his finger and do as he wants. When with the people he cares about, he's loyal and caring. He would do anything to ensure his family remains safe. To the outside world, Archer is cruel. He doesn't have much concern for the people he manipulates, instead using them and casting them aside. At times, it seems as if he lacks a heart.

Favorite Subjects: Dark Arts, though in school he is forced to settle for Defense Against the Dark Arts

Least Favorite Subjects: Divination, Care of the Magical Creatures

What He/She Loves: Archer loves reading. He has a thirst for knowledge that envies that of a Ravenclaw. His favorite topic to read about is his family roots or Dark magic. He also has love for girls, though never one specifically instead enjoying using them and casting them aside. His family is very important to him, especially his baby sister. He also has a close relationship with is older sister.

What He/She Hates: Being a half-blood, though not for the reason one might think. Archer hates being torn between the muggle and magical world. While he loves magic, on some level he also misses his life before he had learned of it.

History: Natasha Rosier is the daughter of Death Eater, Evan Rosier. Evan died during the First War, after which Igor Karkaroff tried to sell him out. Natasha was in the same year of school as Percy Weasley. After the Second War, she fled to America in hopes of escaping punishment for supporting Voldemort.

While in the United States, Natasha met a well known muggle man by the name of Quillian Haynseworth. He was handsome, charming, and rich. Despite the fact that he was muggle, Natasha became enthralled by him. He wooed her until she forgot about her pureblood status. The two decided to marry and Natasha locked her wand away in favor for her husband's life style.

Shortly after their marriage, Natasha and Quillian had their first child. She was followed by Archer and Victor. The three children were raised like muggles, though even as muggles they were hardly normal. Quillian had plenty of money. This combined with Natasha's own inheritance made them one of the most wealthy families in the States. All three were sent to private schools and raised to behave as proper people. It wasn't until Illiana began showing signs of magic that Natasha came clean about her family.

It was then that Archer's fascination with magic began. He began to seek out resources that would tell him more of his mother's family, something which was incredibly hard when living like a muggle. It wasn't until Illiana received her letter to Hogwarts that Archer's goal got closer to being satisfied. While his parents were off gathering Illiana's supplies, Archer was skimming books. He soaked in all the information he could in his limited time.

When he was eleven, Archer received his own letter to Hogwarts. He'd heard descriptions from Illiana, who had been sorted into Ravenclaw, but none of it was quite as satisfying as setting his own eyes on the castle. The Sorting Hat placed him in Slytherin, where he quickly found his place.

It was in school that Archer's previously timid demeanor wore off. He began to learn how to control his natural charming abilities to bring him to the top of the social pyramid. Many of the teachers had a respect for him in his first few years and he made many allies throughout the school. He spent much of his time in the library, further developing his interest in more powerful magic. It was from a book that he learned of the existence of dark magic. Though he could find nothing in the school library, a secret trip to Knockturn Alley revealed what the school had banned.

During the summer between his third and fourth year, Archer became aware that his parents were only just barely married. His father had moved out of their penthouse and his mother became pregnant again, though she lost the baby. To all three of the Haynseworth children, this was horrifying to watch. Not only was their father gone, but Natasha was deteriorating before their eyes.

The three dealt with the stresses of their home life in different ways. Victor, fortunately, escaped it with starting his first year. Illiana, though saddened and worried about their parents, continued on as she normally would. Vivian was the only one left to deal with their parents, though being so young she was blissfully oblivious. Archer became a womanizer. He continued to charm his way throughout the school, going through girls as if they were pieces of trash. His fascination with dark magic remained, but it took a back seat to his fascination with the female population of Hogwarts.
