Johiah Aurélie Dumére
Patronus: Hummingbird
"A girl should be two things: who and what she wants."
- 13 - October 1st - Single - Pureblood -
Wand: Acacia and Unicorn Hair, 9 3/4 inches
Wand Wood Description: Difficult to match with a wizard and generally refused to produce magic for anyone but their owners but seemed to withhold their full power from all but the most gifted wizards. Ollivander only kept a small supply of Acacia wands in his shop. Owners of Acacia wands were generally subtle wizards, as wands made from this wood were generally unsuitable for flamboyant magic.
Appearance: Johiah is a short, petite wisp of a girl who even though thirteen and one of the eldest in her year, is often mistaken for a first year. She has very classically pretty features such as the delicate bone structure, fair skin, and rosy cheeks and lips. She looks very much like the pureblooded aristocratic french wizarding family she hails from and so do her sisters. In fact Johiah and her sisters all look pretty much exactly the same, the only variance being body maturity with the same chine doll complexsion, slight shoulders, dark eyes, and long dark tresses. Johiah being one of the two youngest sisters was thus the third daughter and essentially just part of a set. It is because if this mindset she had pushed upon her [to act and look exactly like her sisters.] that Johiah desires to be an individual above all else and is not afraid to speak her mind and be true to her own. She finds being a copy someone else far less pleasurable than being her own.
Johiah for most of her life has been dressed by her Mother who liked to put her in frilly frocks and over the top witchly robes but now that she's on her own and starting to buy her own clothes. She finds she doesn't really have a style but likes to look a bit different. She likes colorful handmade jewelry and wears a combination of boys and girls clothes
Personality: Johiah is very quiet and often times her face seems to be blank, but she is not at all a cold or unfeeling person, she just doesn't always know how to properly express her emotions, expression being something that has always been limited in her life. Johiah, despite first impressions is very kind hearted and cares deeply for all living beings she comes across, people, animals, she's even been known to talk to the trees. She is a bit unusual in that aspect, most being unprepared for how honest and caring she is, even to those she doesn't know, but it can be quite endearing. Despite her family's reputation for being rather shady, there is not a bad bone in Johiah's body and she only wants to help who she can in life in the process of finding herself. Johiah in that regard to self realization is incredibly brave. She is the type who will try anything once no matter how silly or stupid, and doesn't feel much shame, seeing being different as a gift and privilege rather than something to be annoyed by. She though always gentle will not hesitate to speak her peace in school when she does have one, seeing as at home she rarely has say. She is not afraid to defend her friends and pursue what she believes is a just path despite what others may believe.

What He/She Loves:Leaves, rocks, being outside, trying new things, sweaters that are to big, pot roast, reading, animals, drawing, painting, anything about Autumn, and of course her family.
What He/She Hates: Looking exactly like her sisters, and the fact she feels resentment for it.
History: Johiah has always been the one of the youngest, Jeanette-Marie being the only sibling younger than her. Her entire life Johiah has felt . . . strange like she can't breathe no matter how much room their is. She loves her family, all of them, including the extended but she feels smothered especially by her sisters and mother who are constantly telling her to wear this or act this way or especially to be quiet. Being a sister that looked exactly like the rest, Johiah felt confined, restricted, as if she was one china doll in a four piece set locked away in a show cabinet. Her life has never been her own. That was at least, until she started Hogwarts.
Hogwarts was an escape for Johiah, despite all her siblings being there. There was too much space for them to keep her locked up, and to many ways to escape if they tried. There, Johiah was no longer kept underneath her mother's thumb and could be free to experience knew things, talk to people she actually wanted to talk to and dress in whatever she pleased. She was free and for the first time in her life, an individual.
