Welcome to any young wizards or witches interested in Ancient Runes. If you are interested in runes specifically, history, culture, or very old and powerful magic then I highly suggest this class for you. In ancient Runes, we will examine primary sources of ancient rune use. We will study their creation, use, and from which culture a particular group of runes hails from. As the Runes posses great potential for danger, the actual use that you, the students, will be participating in, will be saved for end of term. But, I will be demonstrating, and we will investigate how to properly utilize ancient runes, as well as their repercussions.
If you are interested, sign up with your name, year, and house below. You will be required to bring a good amount of parchment, two quills, one for red ink, and one for black, and something to keep all your notes in. I will not check notes, but I highly recommend you take them none the less, many runes look strikingly similar, so differences should especially be noted.
When class begins, I will notify anyone on my roster a few days before. I will administer school owned texts that we will be keeping in the classroom once you arrive, but can be checked out for homework if need be. If you are in first or second year and arrive late, it is understandable. I will expect you to take you're seat without interruption. If you are in any of the other years, you will be staying with me for detention and explain to me after class why you were late. I may or may not take house points, so please do not disappoint me or your peers.
Hope to see both old faces and new!
