No Chance, No Way, I Won't Say It

Noxie skipped up the hallway that lead away from the Hufflepuff common room towards the Entrance Hall, her heart light and full of absolute excitement. It had been a wonderful winter break full of snowball fights and spending time with her beloved siblings. Aster had finally gotten a decent job, so he'd been able to get Noxie a brand new pair of school shoes this year for Christmas instead of her having whatever holey hand-me-downs that were left over from when his feet had been that small, if they hadn't been ruined before they got to her. She was so excited, the slight slap of rubber on stone following after her as she almost ran. She was boiling over with joy, so very happy. Today was the first day back from break that she was going to get to see Zeke Noble again and she could not wait. She wasn't supposed to be meeting up with him until ten, but she couldn't resist leaving early and arriving at the Entrance Hall around half past nine.
Little happy joy bubbles spun around her heart, popping and filling her with so much awesome happy that the smile could not be striped from her face even as she kept her head down, not wanting to look up at anyone she might pass by. Upon arrival at the Entrance Hall, she made her way over to the little cove between the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw hour glasses. It was a safe little place, away from the stream of traffic and hidden away enough that no one would pay her much mind, but she'd still be able to see Zeke when he came in. She sat down, shimmying herself backwards until her back touched the wall behind her, completely ensconced. She brought her knees up to her chest, feet tapping as she bopped her head back and forth as though there was a little tune in her head only she could hear. She'd even brushed out her hair properly today so it wasn't as messy as per usual, though it still fell into her face as a kind of barrier against the world.
As she waited, Noxie watched the other students who were either milling about the Entrance Hall or just passing through. Most did't stay long, some only on their way out onto the grounds or the Great Hall and others meeting up with friends from other houses. It was a very good place to meet up with friends actually. It was never overly crowded, the traffic only coming in small bursts except at meal times. There was a nice quiet lull right now, breakfast having already passed and lunch not starting for another two hours. There would be plenty of time to catch up with Zeke.
