Sigil Magic (1st Class)

Albus glared at the arrogant third year that strut past them and made after the bloke to 'have words' but then realized he had walked up to Andrea. Albus turned his nasty look to the fair eyed girl ahead but at the same time relaxed. Having to associate with someone like Andrea was punishment enough for any poor bloke. Nothing Albus could say to Archer could match the unpleasantness that fell from Andrea every time she opened that pretty little mouth of hers. 

Albus' attention then switched to Rose, his cousin who he was surprised to see didn't have her head in a book. A smile lit up his face and he set towards her, looking over his shoulder to meet Maverick's eyes and invite him along. Albus inclined his head of shaggy black hair towards his cousin before turning and quickly competing his journey.

"Hey Rosie!" Albus greeted cheerfully slipping an arm over the red-headed shoulders.

'Right...' Maverick thought to himself, 'He's related to the Weasley's...'

Not wishing to raise any alarm or tensions, Maverick softened the muscles around his face and followed after Albus at a sedate pace a few feet away. Along the way, he tipped his head to Andrea and made sure to keep his hands from slipping closer to the wand in the creases of dark robes when the Weasley put her hands on her Potter cousin.

The girl smiled at him, and he did the respectable thing and ignored it, instead of throwing a curse in her face. He can't let down his 'gentlemanly' guard now can he? All the pent up anger he's carrying around in this world would just unravel and send him on a rampage.

So with a comfortable distance from the chatting cousins, Maverick set up to watch his friend's back and amuse himself by watching Andrea trying to shut out Archer with her body language alone. The twins were skirting along the circular wall like a couple of mischievous rats and the room is slowly filling up with people.

'It's almost about time...'

Rose didn't skip a beat in answering his question. "Mum sent me some new books, I've been reading through all of them." she explained, though that was far from the truth.

Rose felt bad for lying to Al about her whereabouts, but the alternative terrified her. Though Eveleen had tried to reassure her that Al would be understanding of her current love life, she'd always only been informed of the single kiss. Not the many that had come after that.

"Sorry, Al." she apologized, though she wasn't sure if it was for the lie or simply not spending enough time with him.

Scorpius stroked the enchanted door handle softly and with a click it opened, responding to his gentle caress. He ascended the Dark Tower, gray eyes darting around to absorb the new grim decor. Clearly the new professor had made himself quite at home and judging by the classrooms overall appearance, Scorpius came to the conclusion that this man had exquisite taste.

Scorpius was feeling rather excited for the elective as he perched himself on the stone window sill, coolly scanning the room as students poured in from the staircase. He waited for someone worthy before choosing his seat just in case they'd be assigned these seats for the remainder of the semester. As he patiently waited and keenly watched his peers with an almost predatory glint to his gaze, his silver orbs finally flickered over to the head of fiery, red hair that suddenly caught his attention. Scorpius smirked softly to himself, his eyes locking boldly with Rose Weasley from across the spherical room. He knew sitting together would draw the attention of some of their nosier peers, so sitting with her was off limits less he risk his father discovering his newest snog but that didn't mean he couldn't sit near her and badger her a little, for old time sake of course.

Scorpius sauntered over, slinging his ebony satchel lazily on the back of the chair directly behind her, then leaned forward over the desk to tap lightly her shoulder. When she turned around he hissed, "Morning, love." in a way that was colder and more menacing than he usually spoke to her, that to others would have sounded sarcastic but hopefully she was able to see through the guise. He winked before sneering half-heartedly, "Another course, Weasley? Must you always be an insufferable over-achiever?" He mused, eyes darting to her cousin, Albus Potter seated beside her, knowing he'd likely grumble at him to sod off. Scorpius also noticed Maverick Taurus Rotburn seated with them and cast him a questioning glance, genuinely baffled as to why a lad like him would willingly choose to indulge in Potter's company. He hadn't known they were close, him and Potter, and this made him dislike the rival Beater even more causing him to glare in the blond's direction.
