The Wizarding World
The kids of Harry Potter Next Generation 2017 - 2024 will grow up in a very different world from their parents, one where the biggest threat isn't a demented, dark lord, but rather the very outdated traditions and mindset of the wizarding world. They seek a call for change.
Most families are half-blood now at best. In two decades the heavy encouragement of intermingling magical and muggle blood has made purebloods scarce to slim, with most of the most ancient houses of the wizarding world dying out with the war and the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998. Those that lived are locked up in Azkaban paying for their crimes against humanity and those who remained neutral are struggling to survive in a new world where they are forced to adapt or fall behind. A new world where blood purity no longer gives you leverage and pull in society but rather makes you a target for hate-crimes and discrimination. Ministry extremists have rose, mainly soon to be Minister of Magic, Orion Scamander who's obsessive ambition is wanting to eliminate purebloods entirely to equalize the playing field and bring forth a new generation where there’s hope that one day the muggle and magical world won’t be so divided. The first step towards this equal, new world is to pass a law which shall create marriage contracts/agreements where dark wizards can lessen their prison sentences by agreeing to marry a muggleborn witch or wizard, tainting their blood line (or ending it if they merely refuse to have children). Both parties have something to gain from this agreement, which is why it could work. A middle class muggleborn could gain a bit of wealth while the pureblood criminal could gain a much quicker journey to freedom.
A new battle is on the horizon, concerning Harry Potter and @ginny and their three children, James Potter, Albus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter and the Rotburn family, lead by deranged, former Death Eater, Maverick Capricus Rotburn who will soon break free of Azkaban prison and seek to avenge his fallen master and beloved Dark Lord. There has been word of a prophecy, one foretelling the rebirth of the destroyed Lord Voldemort. Harry, now as the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic has a lot on his plate to sort out, first figuring out if any of these visions are indeed real. One thing is undeniable though, something wicked is looming just around the corner and the Rotburns are right at the heart of it, the darkness revolves around them...

Hogwarts
At Hogwarts ‘Pureblood’ is the now the new ‘mud-blood’. Being pureblood is no longer something to boast of. Although, there exist some pureblood families who did not join up with the Dark Lord, yet they still suffer because of the majority that did. They are discriminated upon. Employers don’t want to hire them. Nobody wants to marry them unless they are desperate for wealth and sign into a marriage contract. The general population looks to them as if they are scum and generally vile, wretched human beings. This discrimination and hate has unfortunately carried over into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Slytherin's numbers are dwindling for nobody wants to be associated with the ‘bad seed’ house. They are now the targets of pranks and bullying, children seeking to avenge their lost relatives during the war whom they have never met but whom their parents so often speak of. Luckily Slytherin is the house of the ambitious and these lot are determined to make things right again. Many of them are set on showing the world that they are in fact good people who are definitely not seeking world domination and corruption, they just want to aspire to achieve their normal, innocent enough goals which includes earning a bit of money, perhaps brown nosing a little along the way, and rising up in society by creating a life of luxury and status. Many Slytherins don’t meddle in the Dark Arts and they definitely don’t share in their parent’s prejudiced and outdated views. This new generation of snakes are out to prove everyone wrong, lead by those like Albus Potter, they are determined to show that they can indeed be good people, though of course, there are still some who give their house a bad name...Major Site Plot
