Frankie grinned at the boy, reading his body language and the patience of his stretching, unused to being so tested. Patting Fred's shoulder with little sympathy, Frankie continued on, long brown hair floating behind him like a cloud of dark mist. The two, teacher and pupil, maneuvered their way down Knockturn's many twists and turns before coming to the Ancient Apothecary, The building looked in terrible shape, bending in ways wood wasn't supposed to bend and grey and bloated like a corpse. Despite the horrid appearance, Frankie stepped into the shop, holding the door for his student. There was little stock to be put into the dismaying appearance, as it had appeared so since his childhood. Frankie remembered vividly coming here with his mother, clinging to silk of her flowing pureblood robes as she made her way through the shop purchasing many vials of strange substances he knew now had no well intentioned purpose.
Frankie walked right to the desk and was greeted by a frumpy, dirty old wizard who became flustered at the sight of 'Franz'. Frankie smiled sickly sweet and the man nearly dropped to the ground bumbling beneath the counter for the order Frankie had placed some days ago.
"Er, yes Ms. Franz, 'pose yer 'ere fer ther order." He said, plopping a parcel onto the counter that awfully tall for such a hunched little wizard.
"Right you are Gerard." Frankie replied opening the parcels to check, sparing a glance Gerard who was nervously twisting his battered pointed hat and glancing up at the 'woman' through dirty spectacles.
"Can you name these for me Jonathan?" Frankie said pushing the package more towards Fred. Most of it was mundane enough to not raise alarm, but there were a few special spices, scattered in the Frankie was interested to know if Fred could identify.
