Andrea sunk down against a large stone tomb, hidden from the school and facing the rolling Scottish hills of Hogwarts. She hated a lot of things about school, but it's location was not one of them. Beside her sat her school bag and cloak, the chilly November winds whipping against her flesh through the thin cotton of her uniform shirt. Pale eyes looked out towards the quickly fading sun, it was nearly dusk and her brother still hadn't shown, making it unlikely he would at all. Where as Andrea usually would have been irate, she kept her cool. Since the second eye had opened she had felt far more at ease, she wasn't as agitated and though she still felt the need to amuse herself with the harassing and humiliating of others, she herself could not be as easily stirred. Something in her had been quelled, and while not forgiving her parents, she felt as if she had come to terms with her past. She felt quite free to be honest, as if a burden had been lifted. She was weightless now, nothing was tying her down. Sadly, not even her brother, the sole person she had even known that she trusted inexplicably.
A part of Andrea knew this time would come, her whole life she had seen glimpses of what was to ensue where Max was concerned. She had seen bits and pieces of his future and while she saw grief, love, children, then more grief, she did not see herself. Besides, her brother had taken up with a girl as of recently, a Gryffindor much to Andrea's disgust, but she could take care of Max. Truly take care of him and his troubling condition from what Max had told Andrea. The young Slytherin was Floki's now anyway, Andrea reminded herself, a gentle smile rarely seen dancing on her lips. She didn't trust him completely yet, but he wanted nothing of her accept her willingness to learn. He didn't desire her flesh or affection or even her companionship really and the relief that brought to Andrea was unspeakable. It nearly brought her to tears. She felt as if she found somewhere she could almost feel safe. The irony of this didn't escape Andrea but she couldn't help it. Floki was extraordinary, unlike anyone she had ever met. The things he could teach her . . .
Feeling watched, Andrea looked up to see a pair of dark eyes. Her hand went to her throat, resting on the talisman as was becoming a habit of hers. She wasn't smiling but her face softened considerably upon recognition of her teacher.
