A Rare Opportunity

Lacie walked beside Griffin as he lead the way to a busier street. She watched the cars drive by and noticed a man angrily talking to the car in front of him. She didn't know why it came across as being silly, but she laughed and turned her attention back to Griffin. She really didn't want to get lost. She felt as if she was too old to be getting lost anymore. Lacie was glad it was sunny out. She had been spending too much time in dark forests searching for valuables and dangerous beasts.
"So what do you do?" Griffin asked her.
Lacie wondered how to appropriately answer his question. Most people worried about her safety when she expressed her job. Then again she should probably make sure he has prior knowledge of the wizarding world before just tossing that information out there.
"I'm a collector. I find valuable items and sell them for profit. How about you? I noticed you had a vast amount of books out." Lacie smiled.
Oddly enough Lacie found comfort in eerie feeling the narrower street had. She felt more comfortable on less crowded streets. Lacie's mother would never understand; she had gone to Hogwarts when purebloods weren't disrespected. Besides she knows how to handle herself. She softly hummed a Weird Sister's song and noticed a coffee shop. Is this the place? When Griffin held open the door for her she grinned. She had guessed right.
"Thank you." Lacie smiled.
She was suddenly glad she had transferred enough of her galleons to pounds. Lacie looked at the prices of the different options and wistfully smiled. She had probably gone overboard. There was no way she needed as many pounds as she had brought with her. Lacie browsed the menu not sure what she wanted. She turned to Griffin not wanting to make him wait until she made her decision.
"Order whatever you want. I just need a moment to decide." Lacie said.
