"hmm?" Inquired Eveleen on a soft breathe, her head was still off swimming and her body felt as if her blood was charged with electricity. Duane turned his head though back towards the door and his a fore mentioned words repeated themselves in her head. Furrowing her eyes brows she raised off his lap, immediately feeling cool air replace the heat that had pool between them. Eveleen paid no mind to this though, instead her dark eyes were trained on the door as she listened for a moment. She didn't hear anything, but then again she'd been rather distracted, perhaps Duane was more alert than she.
"I don't hear anything." admitted Eveleen, falling back into his lap with a small frown. Eveleen shifted, training once more on the door before she felt something peculiar pressing against the back of her thigh. She wondered for a moment if there was something in his pocket, but she had't noticed it before . . . but then it dawned on her and Eveleen felt awfully stupid
"I'll go check anyway." She said hurriedly, breaking eye contact before twisting away from him to go check the door. Eveleen pulled a hand through her hair as she went and attempted to smooth the wrinkles in her dress caused from it being hiked up around her thighs. She hoped certainly if someone was there that it wouldn't be all to evident she had just enjoyed a rather intense snogging session.
Eveleen checked her spells, and it didn't feel as if they had been tampered with and she knew Duane had probably made it up to get her off him. She understood why and was a bit relieved his eyes weren't on her face right now because she was very red, more red than probably he'd ever seen her. Eveleen had never thought kissing could do that to a guy. For show, she pressed her ear to the door listening for someone but heard nothing. She then opened it a bit, just enough to peek her head out and look around. The cool air of the mostly stone corridor felt good on her face and Eveleen relaxed slightly, trying to think of a plan would not cause the night to end in crippling embarrassment for either of them. Eveleen let her dark eyes roam the hallway and no one was there, the corridor deserted as expected. She came back in and put her wards back in place again to make it seem like she was doing something important though she was really just buying time.
"I didn't notice anyone" Said Eveleen quietly as she lazily made her back to the love seat. The Pixies had long since ended and some other song had taken its place but Eveleen wasn't really paying attention to the music, her heart was hammering in her chest, trying to think of something, anything that may ease the growing discomfort.
"Have you seen my earring?" Eveleen asked suddenly, putting a hand to her right ear. She hadn't worn earrings that night, but it seemed feasible. Eveleen practically dove for the throw pillow, looking underneath and throwing it over her shoulder, conveniently at her boyfriend who may or may not find a use for it. She pretended to look a bit longer, sticking her hands in between and under the cushions until she straightened and shrugged. Pretending to be forlorn about loosing the small article of jewelry.
((OOC: I did a bit of editing to this post because i felt i wasn't really taking advantage of the opportunity here for some good old fashion, teen awkwardness. They've been smooth sailing for a long time now ))
