Dominique Jeanne Weasley
"Never trust anything that thinks for itself if you can't see where it keeps its brain." - Grandad Arthur Weasley
16 - September 6th, 2005 - Straight - Single - Pureblood
Wand: Rowan and Unicorn Hair, 9 1/2 inches
Rowan Wand Wood: "Rowan wood was prized due to its reputation for protection and producing powerful, hard to break Defensive Charms. Rowan was also noted for its believed disassociation with the Dark Arts. Rowan has become associated with pure-hearted owners."
Appearance: Tawny, blonde hair, striking, sapphire, blue eyes, pointed chin and high cheek bones, slender and average height.
Personality: Dominique is a bookworm, she's bright and clever with a witty sense of humor, she has a soft-spoken voice but can become rather loud when her patience is tested, not afraid to stand up for herself or for others. Dominique is brave in the noble sense, not in a reckless or bold way. She's very calculating, the type to weigh the pros and cons of a situation, she has a level-head on her shoulders. Dominique is a bit of a pessimist, though she prefers the term 'realist'. She's the voice of reason in her group of friends and sometimes because of this she is considered a bit of a 'wet blanket'. She's quiet and studious, very much an 'insufferable know-it-all' only by those envious of her sharp mind and top marks in school. Though Dominique is logical and intelligent she is also capable of being a daydreamer and has a very vivid imagination. She's drawn to beauty, whether it be in people or in nature, she takes the time to appreciate the magnificence of a sunrise and serenity of a sunset. Her biggest flaw is her inability to trust people fully due to her family being targeted in the war growing up she was always taught to be observant of her surroundings, watch her back, and don't reveal too much about herself to people, especially her last name for that would make her a target to some. Dominique grew up in fear for her and her loved ones safety and to this day is still prone to unrelenting night terrors involving mysterious, masked Death Eaters come to burn down her house, Shell Cottage, like they did her grandmum's house, the Burrow, before she was born.
History: Dominique is the youngest daughter of Bill and Fleur Weasley. Her mother, Fleur is a French, quarter-Veela witch daughter of Monsieur and Apolline Delacour. During the 1994-1995 school year, she was Beauxbatons' champion in the Triwizard Tournament. Later Fleur worked at Gringotts to improve her English and began dating her co-worker, Bill Weasley. The pair soon became engaged and Fleur stayed at the Burrow in the summer of 1996 to get to know Bill's family.
Her father, Bill Wesley was the first child of Arthur and Molly Weasley and the eldest brother of Charlie, Percy, George, Fred, Ron, and Ginny. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1982-1989 and was both a prefect and Head Boy. After graduating, he went to work for Gringotts Wizarding Bank as a Curse Breaker, working for a few years in Egypt before returning to England in 1995 where he met Fleur and later married her. Together they had two daughters, Victoire and Dominique.
Family: Mother and father, Fleur and Bill Weasley, elder sister, @victoire and younger brother, Louis Weasley.
She Loves: Dominique has a love for knitting, taught to her by her grandmother, Molly and it was a hobby that they share together throughout her childhood, knitting blankets and jumpers for the entire family. Dominique takes after the Weasley clan most while Victoire was blessed with the feminine grace and elegance of their mother, probably because Victoire got most of the remaining (if any) traces of Veela blood in her and by the time Dominque was born the beauty genes had dwindled down to something scarce, though Dominique is attractive in a natural sort of sense, she is lost in the shadows of her elder sister's radiance. Dominique doesn't mind though, she is happy in her skin, getting the athleticism, sense of humor, fierce courage, and wicked knitting skills of her father's family and that's honestly enough for her. Dominique also has a love for Quidditch, both playing and watching though she's not as good as her aunt Ginny who plays for the Holyhead Harpies. Dominque and her family get free tickets and VIP box seating for the annual Quidditch World Cup, something Dominique looks forward to each year.
