Spruce wands are extremely picky in the hands that they choose. They are very ill-matched with cautious or nervous natured witches and wizards, and becomes positively dangerous in the hands with "fumbling fingers". A wand made of spruce requires a firm hand. These wands appear to have their own ideas about what magic it ought to be used for. They prefer a bold spell-caster with a good sense of humor.

Personality
He thinks of himself as a charmer and loves flashing a smile at girls. His manner is polite and gentlemanly but he exaggerates it if he is trying to impress someone. Cohen is chatty and laughs whenever possible. He isn’t afraid to strike up a conversation with complete strangers and is also a loyal friend. He is bold and will act bravely when others are afraid. His flaw is that he struggles to handle anything depressing, and can appear uncaring and inappropriate when everyone else is serious. The reason he can’t handle sadness stems from the death of his brother. Mostly, Cohen just wants to have fun and meet as many people as possible.

History
Cohen grew up in a wizard family although his Father was muggle born. He was raised in a small town near the sea, and as there weren’t many magical families in the area he mostly befriended muggle children before Hogwarts. When he was a boy his older brother died when flying a broomstick unsupervised, he lost control and flew straight into the brick wall of their house. Cohen was ten at the time and never got over it. He has two other siblings, a thirteen year old brother, and a ten year old sister.


Hobbies & Interests
More than anything, Cohen has a passion for water and loves to swim and surf when he is at home. He will risk swimming in the lake at Hogwarts if the weather is warm enough. Cohen also enjoys the rush from Defence Against the Dark Arts.
