'Tis the Season to be Drunk

Athena was ready to begin the day, Ravenclaw tie done up neatly, blouse pressed and shoes shined. Apart from her hair which was always a bit disheveled due to her being on the go all day, she looked the part of orderly, organized Head Girl, her silver badge glistening against the dark fabric of her robe. She brushed a stubborn lock of wavy, chestnut hair behind her ear and rounded the corner entering the seventh floor corridor and making her way down to the lower level to the Great Hall for breakfast. Suddenly she bumped gently into someone, a firmer, broader figure and muttered a soft-spoken apology as she staggered slightly, glancing up into a familiar pair of steely, gray eyes.
"Cole," She breathed in relief, happier that she had collided with a friend and not a grumpy student as most of her peers were not morning people and were rather foul at seven o' clock on a Friday morning even if they were looking forward to the upcoming weekend.
"I hadn't seen you there." She added with a small smile, gazing up at the prankster who was quickly growing on her like moss. Where she once despised him she now found him... quite tolerable to say the least, even amusing and looked forward to every time she'd see him, whether it be in class, in the Great Hall for meals or randomly locking eyes in the corridor and smiling warmly in acknowledgment, she enjoyed sharing the castle with a new, rather exciting friend. It made her feel a little more connected, less alone. In fact, she had always preferred the company of books to people but found that she was beginning to favor Cole hanging around her, it was a welcomed change to her dull routine.
