To enter the castle, one must go through a set of large, oak doors. This leads into a vast Entrance Hall with a moving, grand, marble staircase directly across from the entrance doors. A door to the left of you opens up into a simple broom closet. A door directly across from the closet leads into the Great Hall, where the students and staff are fed at each meal time. On either side of the staircase, there is a door, one leading to the Hufflepuff basements and one leading to the Slytherin dungeons.

Located here are the Headmistresses office entered by speaking a password to a stone gargoyle, staff lounge, Transfiguration classroom, the Hogwarts Founders Room, and an empty classroom to hold club meetings.

Located here are the massive Hogwarts library, the Charms classroom and Moaning Myrtle's lavatory.
