"Excuse me." Said Damian a little offended and put-off before leaning in closer to his housemate. "A moody one, isn't she?" He grumbled before leaning back up straighter and eyeing the haughty witch as she continued speaking.
"I've come to read of chimeras, not dark rituals, so that is why I asked. You didn't strike me as the sort to go reading about the Dark Arts." He told Jill honestly with an aloof shrug, though still did not judge either of them. It wasn't his business to, although Jill seemed to believe it was hers, scolding Aether like she was his mum or something. It both amused and annoyed him simultaneously. "Oi, I doubt he was going to perform any of them, perhaps just read them in his spare time for fun is all..." Damian came to his dorm mate's defense as his blue eyes flickered back over to him wearily. "...Right Aether?" He asked quietly, a little nervous to hear of the answer. Then a shifting of books caught their attention before Aether could provide an answer and the three first years exchanged looks of alarm as Jill inclined her head to the source of the noise. Damian bravely trudged over to the next row of tomes, following the direction of the sound, alder wand in hand as he pointed it at the figure in warning, his sharp eyes landing on a boy his age with fair hair.
"Who in the bloody hell are you?" Demanded Damian in surprise. Did he miss a memo or something? It seemed the entire first year was out wondering the restricted section tonight. It was quite odd.
