How do they dress? : At work, she dresses in tailored suits and comfortable heels, but changes to dress robes for important events. Outside of her job, Vida has a more bohemian style, preferring flowing skirts and feminine blouses.



Do they wear makeup? : Yes, but goes for the natural look

Do they resemble any family members? : Vida looks exactly like her Mother, but her personality is the same as her Father.



What is their best physical feature? : She likes her lips, but her family always told Vida that her eyes were her most striking feature.

Where are they from? : England



Describe their past history : Vida’s Mother, Evangeline, was an important official in the Ministry, inspecting every office and ensuring it ran efficiently. Evangeline was extremely attractive and career driven, marrying Vida’s Father, Lawrence, because of his blood and career status. Evangeline was not a natural Mother, and left Vida in the care of a Nanny whilst she worked long hours. Lawrence was a busy man and worked out of the country for most of the year.


Lawrence was a proud man, who didn’t judge others for fearing and hating purebloods. He taught Vida every moral lesson in life, but also how to be strong and independent, hoping she would never be walked over like so many purebloods he knew.


As Vida grew up, she came to resent her Mother, who lied to her Father and had numerous affairs. Lawrence died when she was in her sixth year at Hogwarts, killed by people who despised purebloods. Evangeline became even more detached after his death and remarried a wealthy, seedy man, rarely seeing her daughter. The events made Vida stronger, and pushed her towards a job in the Ministry, she was determined to show that not all purebloods were evil, and wanted a pureblood to represent others with the same beliefs as her.


She married a half blood when she was twenty years old, but the choice came from a desire to be accepted and loved rather than a true connection to him. They had a dull and uncomfortable five years together. When the time came for children, she struggled to get pregnant and lost more than one baby. It was her last straw for her husband, who left her and has not spoken to her since. Despite all this, Vida has managed to remain hopeful and happy, and has a strong sense of what is right and wrong.

-PERSONAL INFORMATION-

What do they hate? : People who hate purebloods and judge them as a whole, rather than individuals. She also is completely against the new marriage contract law, she believes it is only focused on ridding the world of purebloods, rather than punishing criminals for their crimes.



What do they love? : She loves art and music, her job is intense and serious, and she likes to lose herself in something other than work.



What can they not live without? : A necklace her Father gave her, it is the shape of a star.



Have they ever been in love? : Not really, she cared about her husband but never loved him with her heart and soul.



What is their most traumatic memory? : Discovering that her Father had died, her world crumbled.



What is their happiest memory? : Being sorted into Ravenclaw. Her family line had been Slytherin and although she loved her Father, she didn’t want to carry the legacy since the war where Slytherins were the main perpetrators.



Describe their personality : Vida is incredibly strong and passionate. She will fight endlessly for what she believes in, even if the odds are against her. As a woman she is feminine and maternal but leaves that part of her at home so she can focus at work. She is logical and absorbs everything she hears, not able to relax until she has all the details. Vida has a strong moral compass, refusing to become corrupt like her Mother.



What would be a stranger's first impression of them? : They would see her as honest, hardworking, strong and independent.



How would you, the writer, describe them? : Vida has had a hard life, she is incredibly strong and her beliefs won’t ever be changed. The loss of her Father, never having love, and her vile Mother have caused her to become resilient but closed off from those around her. She knows what is right, and even if wrong choices are tempting she won’t pick them. She does her work in her Father’s name, and wants equality for all blood statuses but also seeks justice.

Was school a good time for them? Describe their school life : She loved every moment of school. Although she was targeted by some for her family name, Vida was at home at Hogwarts, and still misses it.
