Wand Wood Description: "The wandmaker Gregorovitch wrote that hawthorn ‘makes a strange, contradictory wand, as full of paradoxes as the tree that gave it birth, whose leaves and blossoms heal, and yet whose cut branches smell of death.’” Hawthorn wands are complex and intriguing in their natures, and oftentimes conflicting, just like the owners who best suit them. Hawthorn wands may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses and seems most at home with a witch or wizard passing through a period of inner-turmoil. Hawthorn is difficult to master and one should only ever consider placing a hawthorn wand in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent, or the consequences might be dangerous. “Hawthorn wands have a notable peculiarity: their spells can, when badly handled, backfire."
Appearance: Andrea bears an uncanny resemblance to her maternal grandmother whom she has never met. Both are strikingly beautiful but in a classical sense with petite, graceful, voluptuous forms, long, thick, slightly wavy dark air, creamy porcelin skin, perfectly flushed lips, and forget-me-not blue eyes framed by full, long lashes.
Personality: Andrea while extraordinarily intelligent, relies a lot on her looks. Since she has started to come into them she has found she gets a sick sort of pleasure from manipulating men to do her bidding. She realizes this is a bit twisted of her but accepts her flaws. Growing up she has had so much craziness she has a craving for power and control to craft some sort of stability. Andrea is also naturally a very curious creature where magic is involved, it being her passion and has developed an unhealthy fascination with the dark arts as well as all things dark in general. Generally damaged people interest her, not because she sees a kindred soul, but because she wants to know how they function. Despite her rather rough circumstances, Andrea has good social skills. While she's picky on who she talks to, she understands people on a deeper level. Andrea does fairly good in school depending on the time of they year, usually doing better in the end remembering she has to get a good job after school. Andrea is determined to leave the muggle world behind, as well as her parents.
Favorite Subjects: Divination, Astronomy, Charms, and Tranfiguration

What He/She Loves: black coffee, moonless nights, wolves, immorality, taboos, and snakes
What He/She Hates:ignorance, close-mindedness, inhibiting things such as drugs or alcohol, lavender tea
History: Andrea hated everything about her childhood. She hated her whacked out parents, the constant drug use, she hated the overly amorous, often drug induced friendliness of the adults surrounding her, but she hated her mother's ban on violence and magic the most. For as long as she could remember, Andrea suffered from seizures. At least that was what her parents called them but discovered from her own research at Hogwarts that the vivid images she saw, sounds she heard, and smells she smelt that presented themselves in her mind when she was convulsing were perhaps visions or signs of what was to come. Her mother would tell Andrea she was crazy as a child when the young witch would tell her mom what she saw. The woman would also put out incence sticks on her daughter's hands as punishment when Andrea told her mother she could 'see pictures' when she touched someone. Andrea's biggest comfort in the world is her brother, though she'd never admit it to him. His return after the school year and during the holidays being the only reason she didn't runaway from home when she was younger.
