She watched the boy stand up and take a step towards them, as if he were going to come over to the them but then second guessed himself. Maddie tried to hide her smirk. Wasn't he supposed to be the genius when it came to Magical Creatures? And yet, he was afraid to come near a unicorn, probably one of the gentlest beast one could come across in the forest. "Oh come on, aren't you supposed to be some sort of expert on things like this?" she teased and then walked over to him, grabbing his hand. She began tugging him along with her towards the unicorn, who was still standing in the same place, unmoving as it stared at Maddie, as if she didn't even see Logan there. If Logan scared it away, she wouldn't be upset. She'd gotten to see it and pet it, that would have been enough for her. But she wanted the boy to see that he wasn't the terrible person that he thought he was.
"Just go slow," she explained, acting like she actually knew what she was talking about. She was still holding Logan's hand and as they stood in front of the unicorn, she began lifting his hand with her own. He was standing at her shoulder, slightly angled behind her but he was so close she could practically hear the beating of his heart in his chest - or was that her own? That feeling returned in the pit of her stomach, the one that only seemed to come whenever she was this close to Logan. Maddie bit her lip, forcing herself to focus on what she was trying to do instead of how close Logan was standing to her, though it was hard to ignore. "She'll trust you if you show her you can be trusted," she said quietly. It was a silly statement but her thoughts were jumbled in her head and she could hardly form words.
Their hands were mere inches away from the unicorn's nose and the creature still hadn't moved. Maddie swallowed almost nervously, praying that this worked. If she could show Logan that he wasn't dark, maybe he would open up to her more. She wanted to show him that he was a good person, despite the things that he may have done in the past.
(OOC: I left it like this for you to decide if you want the unicorn to stay or not. You know Logan the best so it's up to you, I just figured it would be better for you to decide than myself lol)
