Theo has sharp, crystal blue eyes that are often narrowed slightly in a contemplating look, dark bags beneath his eyes evidence of stress and although he has gained in muscle tone since his youth, filling him out a little more, he's still rather lean and slender in build.
How do they dress? : Cashmere jumpers, plain, dark colored t-shirts, button down shirts, always sporting trousers in either tan or black, never jeans and polished, leather shoes. He wears a heavy, ebony, wool cloak in the winter with the hood drawn up to block out the bitter wind and in warmer months does not wear robes like most pureblood wizards do, finding it impractical, he instead dresses in business casual attire, giving away his struggles financially. Struck with grief upon being forced into a loveless marriage by her family with a much older man, Reginald Nott, and ordered to never see her lover again, a handsome, half-blood werewolf, Theodore's mother, Edgarda fell into a spiraling depression. Reginald kept his young bride locked away in the manor under powerful warding spells and caught her the few times she mustered up the courage to escape on foot. When she became pregnant with her abuser's child she began going mad, both from the effects of solitude, being cut off from the world and her loved ones and this cruel man forcing her to love him and treating her as a possession, she easily fell into a debilitating postpartum depresson upon the birth of her unwanted son, Theodore. One day when Theo was five-years-old Edgara took her own life, not knowing that her son had witnessed it, hiding in the wardrobe with the door open just a sliver and watching as his mother perished at her own hands, clutching a silver dagger and falling lifelessly upon the bed which Theo had unwillingly been conceived half a decade prior.
Theo was devastated and for a very long time blamed himself, not understanding why his mother would abandon him and because he witnessed it, feeling immense guilt and believing he could have stopped it somehow. Theodore grew up to be a very reserved boy, pouring himself into books to escape his grim upbringing under the sole care of his elderly, Death Eater father who had grown even more violent after his wife's death, feeling cheated at the loss. Theodore was therefore very studious in school, excelling especially in Potions, and possessing the natural genius to become the next Potions Master if he so wished. He instead abandoned his passion of potion making to pursue a stable career at the Ministry of Magic. He became an obliviator and after many years was promoted to the Head of the Department of Accidents and Catastrophes. He foresaw great use in this position, being able to expertly obliviate the memories of anyone he so desired and having the power to cover it up, allowing the memory erase to go under the Ministry's ever watchful radar. Theo could commit murder if he so wished and would be able to obliviate the minds of any witnesses, making him a powerful ally to have.

To survive and cope with his grim past he puts on a mask of neutral indifference, acting out the routine of his daily life as if he were an inferius. He is constantly in a detached state of mind, never really living, just existing.
