Calvin hurried into Gringotts. He had only just gotten off work and was anxious to return to his flat, though first he had been tasked with an errand. Back at his home, a letter would be waiting for him from his sister, Anabel. Calvin cared for both his sisters, waiting eagerly for each of the Hufflepuff's updates. He worried. Mallory for the obvious reasons. Anabel on the other hand, he was convinced she had some deeper problem. This was something that could only be detected through the smallest of things, but to somebody who knew her as well as himself, they were obvious.
He knew he likely wouldn't be returning home until later that evening. It was his grandmother who had set him onto the task of retrieving several galleons for her. When he brought them to her, the woman would likely force him inside the house and feed him dinner. Calvin loved the old woman, but sometimes she could be a bit of a hassle.
As he entered the bank, he thought he saw a glimpse of a familiar face. Unable to be sure, he pushed the thought to the back of his mind before approaching the goblins and entering the underground vaults. It wasn't until he reemerged that recognition registered upon sighting of the man once again. They had been in the same circle of friends, connected by a mutual person. The two had never been close themselves, but there was no mistaking the guard as his old school buddy.
