"I believe many things could be possible beyond the veil of death. Another land, a great darkness, a new life, absolute nothingness... So, I would never discount the idea of past lives." Lysander answered honestly, not even really having to think about the subject to do so. He dwelled on such things fairly often, especially when he lost a creature he had been trying to look after. Where did it's soul go? For, if there was one thing he was absolutely certain of, it was that every creature had one, despite some people thinking otherwise. As he spoke, his voice got quieter as well, his mind thinking along the same lines as Johiah. There were bound to be fairies and other smaller creatures in the marsh who would be quite frightened by their strange stepping foot into their home.
The trees thinned out finally, leaving them in a great open area. Tall grasses rose from muddy patches, and the chirrup of frogs just waking... and Lysander's twin's voice echoing into his ears. He stopped short, turning around and keeping his hand still locked with Johiah's, as was the rule. "Lily! How could you? It is but a most grievous act you have committed! To forsake the buddy system is like... like... Traveling at night without wearing your pajamas!" Lysander stated, looking quite shocked, though there was a twinkle in his eye that said otherwise. He could always tell when Lorcan was teasing, and Lily was often the subject of it, therefore, there was nothing to do but join in. "What ever shall the punishment be, my dearest brother? Ten lashes with a licorice whip? Or perhaps... we should... cut... her hair." The sunny Hufflepuff stated in quite a dastardly tone, knowing exactly how Lily felt about having her hair anything more than trimmed. Darling Johiah, have you any suggestions for a proper punishment?
