Love. She’d called her love. Not that it hadn’t happened before, but gosh the Gryffindor noticed it a hell of a lot more right now… Ember nodded, eyes still stuck on Sophia’s face, her cheeks slowly growing pink, and then red, the longer she looked at her until her entire face the same shade as the insides of a pomegranate. Why was it doing that? Merlin… She needed to get a hold of herself. It was only Sophia! Sweet, beautiful Sophia with the big gorgeous eyes and the soft brown hair and those succulent pink lips and… Oh god, why hadn’t she looked down when she’d had the chance?!
Eveleen would kick her ass if she’d heard the thoughts that had just run through Ember’s head. After all, one was supposed to ‘woo’ a person, not just grope them to their heart’s content. Especially when that person was someone who could never, in a million years, love you back. This friendship had just gotten harder than it had been when Ember had only wanted in Sophia’s pants, but now, she was emotionally attached to her in a way that was not nearly as friendly as it should have been. ”I… I know. I’ll do better, swear. And for the record… Normal people are boring. I’m glad you’ve got a new friend who isn’t just some cookie-cutter girl.” Ember smiled, though she felt a little jealous suddenly, that another person was getting any of Sophia’s attention. However, she knew she shouldn’t worry too much… The little Hufflepuff Sophia spoke of seemed permanently attached to the same Gryffindor boy who’s nose she had broken.
And then Sophia took the Gryffindor’s hands and Ember’s breath caught in her chest. She blinked, and was only able to respond with a nod, when asked to leave. She didn’t want to do so though… and she hesitated, staring at Sophia for a couple moments longer than a normal person would have before she drew away from the bed, hating the way it felt when Sophia’s hands left hers. There was no way she could stay while Sophia was being looked over. She couldn't trust her eyes to behave themselves and not stray to where they didn't belong. ”Yeah. I’ll wait for you, darling.” Ember murmured and then, bolted between the curtains.
