Appearance: She has light blonde hair that's fairly curly, pale skin, and blue eyes.

Personality: She is generally cheerful, optimistic, hardworking, and determined. Sometimes this comes across as naïve and somewhat grating but she is well aware of the difficulties of life and how to move past them. For now she's attempting to integrate herself with the brave new world by catching up with her peers, learning the history of the world, and doing the best she can with the priceless opportunities she's been given.

What He/She Loves:Despite the hardships of life and war Clara loves being alive, the opportunity tomorrow has to be a better day and the fact that it is possible to move forward no matter where you have been.

What He/She Hates:She hates war, violence, guns, death, and oddly enough the sunset which always seems to symbolize the end of something and lost opportunity.

History: Clara was born in a small village a long time into the future. Where culture has changed dramatically so that England is no longer recognizably England. Life was very difficult where she came from, most of the land has become a desert terrain, and many years before she was born there was a terrible war and famine so not that many people remain.

In her time period there appear to be know magical institutions of any kind and if there is any concept of magic it is either thought of as advanced technology or the product of a prophet.

When she was around nine her village was invaded by a warlord who rounded up women and children to support his conquest of the general area. She lived in the camp for some time and witnessed truly terrible things, unconsciously using wandless magic to protect herself occasionally. One day, after being ordered to raid another village for children in the same way hers had been raided Clara manages to apparate back to her own village only to find that it had been destroyed.

For a while she wanders the wasteland on her own, somehow managing to find food and water and survive confrontations with other people she manages to cross, and eventually she comes to the rubble that was once a great city. There she meets a hermit physicist, whom she calls the priest, who has been trying to repair ancient technology for many years. He's the one who decides to call her Clara, after the protagonist in an ancient dance.

She lives with him for quite some time and after a while considers him to be her family. He teaches her to read, how to do math, and how to build things from parts and for a while things seem fine. For years though he has been attempting to rebuild a broken time-turner that he believes can transport them to a new and better world.

One day though, around when she's ten, the hermit priest is shot by a man passing through the ruined city scavenging for parts. In despair and rage Clara's magic lashes out and kills the man leaving her alone once again in the wasteland.

She then packs all that she can fit into a large bag, takes the now complete but untested time turner, and turns it back as far as she's able to and miraculously arrives in the brave new world of London.

It is shortly after arriving in this unfamiliar world, living on the streets, that Clara receives her Hogwarts letter.

Parents: Unknown but she would consider the priest to be her father.
