Lacie Vane Bennett
"If you’re persistent no one will ever doubt your endeavors."-Lacie
- 21- June 19- Straight - Single - Pureblood
A Collector: Potion ingredients, Wand materials, and ect.
Wand: Fir and Phoenix Feather, 12 inches
Wand Wood Description: "Wands of fir wood are coined by Ollivander’s grandfather as ‘the survivor’s wand,’ because he had sold it to three wizards who subsequently passed through mortal peril unscathed. There is no doubt that this wood, coming from the most resilient of trees, produces wands that demand staying power and strength of purpose in their owners, and that they are poor tools in the hands of the wishy-washy and indecisive. “Fir wands are particularly suited to transfiguration, and favour owners of focused, strong-minded and, occasionally, intimidating demeanor."
Appearance: Dark brown straight hair that tends to wave just a little, brown eyes, and a light skin tone. She is 5'9 feet tall.
Personality: She is insecure when it comes to friendship and love as she hasn't had enough experience to know what to expect. She is a strong person, but she always seems to have a hint of fear. She stands up against people who bully her, but having only her parents as close friends she feels vulnerable to threats. To scare of easy threats she presents a bold and strong attitude to keep as many of them away from her as she can without even confronting them.
Favorite Subjects: DADA, Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, Potions
Least Favorite Subjects: History of Magic
What She Loves: She loves potions, dancing and dueling (she always thought the two were alike except one more desperate), Herbology, collecting, gardening, magical creatures, kind hearted good natured people, people in touch with their feelings and emotions.
What She Hates: She hates that her mother made her middle name Vane to represent her family line. She hates disrespectful people, people who make assumptions quickly, people who ignore others in need of help, people who attack purebloods and discriminate against them, people who immediately think she is as vain as her mother, people who don’t try to get to know her, but want to go on a date.
History: Romilda Vane left England after having survived the final battle the memory of her friends’ deaths pushed her away from England until she could overcome her grief. She decided to go to Spain because she felt she would enjoy the culture there. At a café in Spain her purse was stolen, snatched up right in front of her. A man named Albert Bennett was the one who had stolen her purse. Romilda caught him and then proceeded to step on his stomach. Albert was a bored man who had nothing to motivate him in life so the strong motivation Romilda had to live life attracted him to her. He apologized and asked to make it up to her by taking her out to eat at an expensive hard to get into restaurant. She took up his offer and the rest is history the two fell in love.
The two got married young at 18 years old and Romilda was clueless about what was going on with the England. Albert and Romilda are both purebloods, but Spain’s wizarding government had little, if any, prejudice against purebloods. Romilda became pregnant with a boy. Albert and Romilda were happy and filled with joy at the thought of a child to join their family. The boy died at birth and the two became depressed at everything that reminded them of their loss.
Romilda convinced Albert to move to England and so Romilda was back in England when she became pregnant again this time with a girl. The couple was extra careful and protective of her. This time the child was born and lived. They named her Lacie Vane Bennett.
Lacie’s childhood was a good one despite the occasionally weird stupid arguments her parents got into and the few important ones on how Lacie should be raised. Romilda liked putting Lacie in cute girly outfits most had lace as if to further point out her name. Albert liked to put her in simple tomboyish outfits. When Lacie could finally dress herself she tended to like dresses (just not as girly and crazy as the ones her mother put her in) and she also liked slightly more fashionable tomboy clothes that were easy to move in.
Lacie would often sneak out of the house to explore the nature around her and find all sorts of animals and creatures. Her parents would worry until they found her. Lacie spent lots of time visiting grandparents and family in Spain as well as spending time with Romilda’s parents (her other grandparents). Her parents weren't the most consistent people and often switched their jobs and hobbies to whatever they felt like doing. Lacie became quite a person who liked consistency because of the lack of it in her household; however, that doesn't mean that she didn't enjoy surprises or change in moderation.
Society in England looked down on her family for being pureblood, but her parents never let it bother them…often times they made those people shut up with their gross, yet kind of sweet public displays of affection. Needless to say, Lacie was often embarrassed by the display. She was proud that her parents didn't let others tell opinions hurt them. Her parents had each other and she had them until she went to school. Lacie had to be strong to get through school so she hid her insecurities and loneliness through being bold and getting into fights/duels.
