What color are their eyes, hair, and skin? : Marley has wild blonde hair which is probably one of the first things you would notice about her. It is a mass of golden curls. It is incredibly long, in an effort to weigh down her untameable curls. Marls has pale skin that burns like wildfire in the sun and bright blue eyes. She has occasional freckles along her cheeks and nose.
How do they dress? : Marlene loves to look pretty. She loves buying new clothes and especially shoes. She has loads of shoes. Marley usually wears whatever she feels like. She does have an occasion to wear the silliest things if she has the nerve.
Do they like the way they look? : Of course Marley likes the way she looks but she always wants to improve herself. She often wants to straighten her mane of curls but cannot be bothered.
Height? : 5 foot 3
Do they resemble any family member? : She has her mother's hair but her father's smile.
What is their best physical feature? : Many people would say her hair, but Marley has a brilliant smile when she isn't scowling.
What is their most flawed physical feature? : Marlene tends to slouch around a lot and at 14 she is still quite gangly as if she hasn't grown into her body yet. As a result she is rather clumsy.
-FAMILY INFORMATION-
Where are they from? : Marlene is from London but her and her family live in a large house on the edge of the city, mostly for privacy from muggles.
Describe their past history : Marley lives in a constantly emotional home but she always thought it was rather empty when her brother went to Hogwarts. However, even though her mother is loving, her father is always distant. He's always away on work, or doing important things. He never has time for his children. So Marley became the problem child. She would sneak out and go to muggle parties. She isn't that adept in muggle ideas and technologies but the parties she went to, muggles were too drunk to care. She would wear ridiculous and inappropriate clothing and this is only at a young age. Her respect for rules was gone at a young age. This was a brief rage in the family dynamics. The mother and daughter relationship was obliterated and the only times Marley spoke to her father were bad times. However, Hogwarts opened up new chances and possibilities, especially after first year. Marley stopped sneaking in to muggle clubs on the holidays but she still crept out at night just to feel normal.
The Callahans are rich. There is no other way to describe it. Marley is uncomfortable with this fact when at Hogwarts so she tries not to shout it round. Marley can have anything she wants but what she really wants is a house that is loving and welcoming, like the homes in books. The house she lives in is cold and enough rooms to rattle around in without having to see her parents anyway.
Who are their parents : Sarah and Rob Callahan.
Do they have any siblings? : yes, she has an older brother who she is always trying to impress but he just think she is an annoying little sister.
Is their any history of mental illness in their family? : Marley has a mild case of dyslexia. She struggles to hold her attention on her homework for long periods of time.
-PERSONAL INFORMATION-
What do they love? : The sun, the breeze, anything that is not her house. She loves to paint too, but that can turn into a colourful mess. She is sporty, though hasn't got the knack of quidditch yet.
What do they hate? : Maths. Anything to do with numbers just goes over her head. Her house.
Have they ever loved anyone in a romantic way? : Marley can't keep track of her crushes. She just hooks onto someone and that's it, she's off in her daydreams. However she has never actually had a proper proper boyfriend.
What's their most traumatic memory? : One night when she snuck out to town, Marley stole a bottle of champagne from a store and drank the whole thing in one night. She was sitting in the gutter, vomiting her stomach up still her throat was raw and her hair was sweaty and the world was turning upside down, when a group of men came up to her, demanding money. She didn't have any muggle money and she was completely off her head but she told them that she had none. They didn't believe her and grabbed at her clothes and pockets. Marley was so scared and so drunk, she pissed herself and the men only left when she vomited over one of them. Marley hasn't told anyone that, mainly because she was ashamed she wasn't brave then, but she knows she is now.
What's their happiest memory? : Hogwarts. She couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts when she was little. Once she had the chance, she clung onto it and didn't let it go. At school, no one knows or really cares who her parents are or what her family is like. Her brother is at Hogwarts too but they keep away from each other. There is not a close bond between them.
Describe their personality : Marley is a very happy person, despite her distant parents. She is also quite bold and says she isn't afraid of anything. She's happy to go and introduce herself to people and loves to have a chat rather than doing something important. She can get very excited and loves to have a laugh over anything. She can be a romantic when the urge arises but a complete tomboy the next minute. She is bubbly, bold and full of spirit with the will to try anything except maybe broccoli. Marley will charge head first into any danger, she will leap without knowing where to land. There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity which Marley seems to blur on every occasion. She is brave and daring but common sense isn't her forte.
Marley is smart but she won't try at something she doesn't like. She would rather put all her energy into something that makes sense in her brain rather than try to do something else. She has a creative mind and is good in a crisis.
Describe their personality flaws : She can be lazy and procrastinates often. She can be rude when she doesn't watch her mouth. Her mood changes more often than she changes clothes. When she gets angry she is a raging blonde Godzilla and can take more than a few minutes to calm down. She will argue out any opinion until she wins or her opponent gives up. She lacks common sense so every adventure can easily turn into a misadventure.
What would a stranger's first impression of them be? : the first impression would depend on how Marley would be feeling at the time. She could be outrageously charming or the rudest young girl you have ever met. Mostly she is happy to everyone and tries to be nice. But only really her close friends would understand her.
How would you, the writer, describe them? : I think Marlene needs people around her. She needs friends that will hurtle into danger with her but also friends that will ground her and tell her what is wrong and what is right. She is brave but not as brave as she lets on. She wants to impress people so I believe that she would need a very sensitive person to set her straight. Happy is the main word I would described her and wild would be another.
