Detention with the Weasel

Scorpius had despised the entirely Weasley clan, anyone bearing that last name was automatically labeled as bad news. The Weasley's and Malfoy's were notorious rivals, a disdain carrying over from their parents generation onto the next. Scorpius and Louis, one of the younger and brighter Weasley's considering the tosser was sorted into his house, had gotten into a heated argument earlier in their Herbology lesson that had escalated quickly. It soon caught the attention of their professor who assigned them each a Friday night detention when Scorpius' anger grew and he performed accidental magic, shattering a few clay pots and spewing dirt and her 'poor, dear fanged geraniums!' onto the floor, creating a mucky mess. There was no telling which of the two boys had done it and so she punished them both with a shared detention with the unpleasant caretaker of Hogwarts doing tedious, manual labor.
Scorpius was currently scrubbing quite violently in anger at a bronze, third-place Quidditch trophy from the late 1960's, shooting the eagle across from him cold glares every so often, hoping he felt his orbs of molten steel burning into him in disdain. In Scorpius' opinion this was all his fault for being such an insufferable know-it-all and getting into a petty argument with the older eagle and trying to correct him. He needed to keep to himself and shut that large trap of his if he knew what was good for him. It was unwise to get on someone like Scorpius' bad side who had a fierce temper and knowledge of quite a few...unpleasant, dark spells.
