Spencer eyed the girl curiously as she feigned innocence, trying desperately not to laugh. He could see her struggling to contain her laughter as well as she crossed her arms over her chest triumphantly. Spencer bit the inside of his cheek as his mind worked out what he was going to do. There was no way he was going to beg for the cloth back, he'd already been too much of a coward tonight. The gap between the last cloth and the door was only about five feet. He could make it if he really wanted to.
Spencer squared his shoulders and narrowed his eyes playfully at the Gryffindor. "Oh, you just wait," he told her, smiling slyly as he took a few steps back. He didn't give her a warning and instead just started running towards the door. When the last cloth ended, he launched himself forward, barely gliding through the air before his feet landed, only he hadn't made it all the way through the threshold. His one foot slipped on the floor just inside the door and luckily, he stumbled forward and into Sage.
The girl was smaller than him so he wasn't surprised when the force of his body colliding into hers knocked her over and they went falling through the air towards the floor. His arms wrapped around her waist protectively and he twisted his body so that he wouldn't land on top of her. Instead, he landed flat on his back with Sage thumping ungracefully on top of him. His chest was heaving with uneven breaths. For a moment, the only thing that existed was her and the way that he could feel every inch of her against his own body. The sensation set him on fire and he could hardly think straight.
He stared up into her emerald eyes and smiled. "Ravenclaw, remember? I always find a way."
