It had been a long, tiring day for Spencer and all he really wanted to do was go back to the dorms and sleep. He had two exams and a presentation all that were due today and the combination had seemed to completely fry his brain. His feet dragged as he trudged towards the Ravenclaw towers, desperate to give in to the exhaustion that was flooding through him. The only thing stopping him was the fact that he had left his wand in the Divination classroom. His tiredness had caused him to completely forget that he'd left it on his desk until about half an hour ago when he was finishing up some homework in the library and realized that the back pocket on the right side of his jeans was empty. Thankfully, he was heading up to the dorms anyways and would just stop in on his way by and grab it.
Rounding the corner and pushing open the half-open door of the classroom, he stepped inside, his eyes weary with exhaustion. He didn't even get both of his feet through the threshold before he found himself falling through the air, his feet completely slipping out from underneath him. He tried to reach out for something - anything - to break his fall but there was nothing. Spencer crashed to the floor, landing on his tailbone and he cried out in pain before sliding further into the classroom on his back, almost colliding with one of the desks. The breath rushed out of his chest and he gasped for air, struggling to regain his normal breathing. What the bloody hell had he tripped on?
When he finally calmed down, he attempted to stand, turning over onto his knees so that he could try and push himself up with his hands. As soon as he had his palms planted on the floor, they slipped out from under him, much like his feet had, and his chest crashed down onto the floor, nearly smashing his chin against it. Another try and another fail. It felt like the floor was wet with something, slippery with some sort of oil but when he touched it, nothing came away on his fingers. He tried to stand again, this time using a chair as leverage and only ended with the same result, plus the chair being knocked over and skidding across the slippery floor. "Dammit!" he swore in frustration. All he wanted to do was go to sleep and instead he was stuck inside of a classroom with a throbbing arse and no way of getting to the door. "Perfect," he growled in an aggravated tone. "Just bloody perfect."
