Evie only allowed herself to wonder about his short answer about his family for a moment before she addressed his second question about her own life. "My father has some sort of grudge against the school. I'm not sure why or what it's even about and I never asked. My mother is French and went to Beauxbatons so she wanted me to go as well," she told him and then briefly wondered why she was. It was so easy to talk to Luke, he pried information out of her without even asking for it. "I was born in France but we moved to London when I was five so that my parents could be closer to work but since my mother was good friends with the Headmistress of Beauxbatons, they allowed me to attend school there. I never had a choice, although I was used to that."
She pressed her lips together in a tight smile, hoping that he wouldn't think she was rambling and getting bored. She tended to do that when she got nervous and that was all Evie seemed to be around Luke. Her words just came out without any thought behind them and she worried that it was too much at times. She'd been told multiple times that she was dull and she felt like people wanted to fall asleep whenever she spoke. But she couldn't stop herself, she wanted to tell Luke, she wanted to answer his questions. "I'm sorry, I'm probably boring you. My life's story certainly isn't anything to hold interest," she laughed to herself as she tried to remember the last time someone was interested in anything that she said.
She really wanted to know more about him but she had a strong feeling that it was going to take a lot more to get him to open up to her with anything. Luke intrigued her more than anyone ever had and it was impossible to ignore the feelings that she got whenever she was around him, though she couldn't explain them. "Tell me something about you. Anything. Just pick something and tell me." She smiled brightly up at him in anticipation to learn more about him.
