Lily turned her head, looking at Lysander thoughtfully once Meg stopped speaking. She gazed at the slightly older boy for about three seconds before she turned back to the two on the bed and nodded. It was insanely curious, what had happened to Matt, and she and Lysander were desperate to know what it was, not just to sate their own desires, but to help him in the future should the occasion reoccur. Meg said Matt was different, and while sometimes in the magical world that could vary on being good or bad, both Lily and Lysander knew better than to judge someone for being unique. Their families had raised them, with the general idea that everyone is created equal and to treat others with the same respect in which they wished to be treated. It held strong in both of the Hufflepuffs, their moral values exceptionally similar, though Lysander’s were a bit more extreme. His mother was a tad bit of an oddball, even in general standards for a witch… And Lily had grown up under the constant pressure of people taking pictures of her family every time they left the house.
”We understand what it’s like to be different.”[/I] Lysander smiled, reaching out a gentle hand and resting it on Matt’s shoulder for a moment, hoping to reassure that they wouldn’t think badly of him. ”Some people say my mother is crazy. And Lily gets treated differently sometimes, because of who her dad is.”
”If there’s something we can do to help make whatever it is that makes Matt unique, we want to be able to.” Lily swore, her face set very seriously. ”It was quite scary when he just doubled over like that… Though, I‘m assuming now that the first step would be a quiet place and describing the room.”
